Pups reference

A pup is an individual puppy in a litter, with its own page for photos, growth, status, its sale and its listing. Add pups from inside a litter with Add pup.

Name or label

How you refer to this pup — a name, a number, or a collar colour like "Green collar". Required. You can rename a pup at any time.

Sex

Male or female. Optional.

Status

Where the pup is in its journey: Available, Reserved, Sold or Kept. Required (defaults to Available). Status drives how the pup appears on the litter and feeds the litter's overall status. A pup marked Sold or Kept counts as finished for that litter.

Colour

The pup's colour or markings. Optional. Appears on the listing and helps buyers tell pups apart.

Microchip number

The pup's microchip number, once chipped. Optional until you chip it. When entered it must be a valid microchip number (15-digit ISO, or legacy 9–10 digit). Entering it ticks the pup's "microchipped" compliance item and lets the number flow onto the contract and listing.

Beyond these fields, a pup's page brings together:

• a hero photo and the pup's photos and weights (its growth chart);
• its compliance ticks (microchip, vaccination, worming) for this pup;
• a sale snapshot if the pup is assigned to a buyer — see Sales & Contracts;
• a buyer-sharing link to the pup's private buyer page;
• the Generate listing button — see Generate a listing.
