Manage your waitlist & buyers

Your waitlist lives under Waitlist & Buyers. This is where you add the people interested in a pup, rank them privately, and link a buyer to the pup they're getting.

Before you start

Have each buyer's name and email to hand. The email matters: it's how Whelpkeep sends the buyer their private puppy page later.

Add a buyer

1. In the left menu, open Waitlist & Buyers.
2. Click Add buyer.
3. Enter their name and email.
4. Click Save.

The buyer now appears on your list. You can open their record any time to add notes or update their details.

Set a pick order

The pick order is your private ranking of who chooses a pup first.

1. Open a buyer's record, or use the list view.
2. Set their pick order number.
3. Repeat for each buyer you want to rank.

Note — The pick order is breeder-only. Buyers never see it, and they never see each other.

Assign a buyer to a pup

1. Open the pup you want to allocate, or open the buyer's record.
2. Choose assign to link the buyer and the pup.
3. Save.

Once a buyer is assigned, you can create a deposit link for them and, later, open the pup's sale.

Tip — Assigning a buyer is the bridge between your waitlist and the sale. After this you can take a deposit, which unlocks their private puppy page.
